Sara Shakir is owner of Sara Shakir Beauty and Horror fx, Makeup Artistry services specializing in film/tv beauty, hair, and prosthetic work/special effects.
She started her makeup career while in college pursuing her B.S. Business Administration degree in Marketing. Upon graduating, her career was launched in Cosmetic Management and worked for various prestigious cosmetic brands.
With years of experience in customer service and leadership, she decided to take the plunge to become a full-time artist in the film and TV genre. Taking all the skills she learned and always advancing and learning new trends, Sara works closely in the beauty and special effects departments.
“Lights… camera… Glam, film, and fake blood!!!” Sara continues, “my heart races with excitement when I am amongst various creative projects. Especially when I am given the trust to unleash in my creative space. I am meticulous, I believe to create personalities over trends, and I enjoy to be happy and friendly all the time”.
